Spring Message from the County Commissioner

We have recently held our annual Leaders County Training in Luxembourg, a busy weekend, but rewarding and informative for everyone who attended. My personal congratulations to the leaders who received Good Service and Long Service Awards. Our leaders do a great job on a weekly basis and it is pleasing to be able to reward them in this way.

I also enjoyed looking at the displays that had been produced by the Districts with photos and information about the activities that they have been doing - Scottish dancing, making bird feeders, thankful evenings to name a few.

We also started to prepare our County Strategic Plan in association with the national “Being Our Best Plan”. More details to follow as the plan comes into being but our aim will certainly to be to continue what we do well and to add to this by looking at areas where we can improve what we provide to our members.

The sun is shining as I write this update and I know that there are a number of residential opportunities being made available for our members this term - many taking advantage of the season. I am sure that everyone will have lots of fun, be it on a trip to Finland, a camp at a local site or a sleepover in you meeting venue.
