Camps and Sleepovers

Camps and Sleepovers

As winter says goodbye and spring fills the air, the time for camps and sleepovers starts again.

In April, 2nd Brussels Guides had their own sleepover, with the BP Challenge Guides organising a cooking competition for the younger Guides in groups.

The Guides hiked to the supermarket to purchase their own ingredients under a small budget, made their own dinner—which was first tasted by the judges (the BP Challenge Guides), made candle holders and did some rather impressive wood work.

In May, all four Brussels and Waterloo Guide units as well as SHAPE Guides had a wonderful weekend at the Northern Europe District Camp in De Kluis, Belgium, organised by the Scouts. The Scouts celebrated 110 years of Scouting with Scout Games as the theme of the camp and the games were run in the afternoon with all sections participating in mixed groups.
