Welcome to Toulouse District

Enjoying the beautiful sunny south-west of France, we have approximately 100 girls in 7 units who meet on the outskirts “la Ville Rose” (Toulouse).

Due to the nature of our ever changing and diverse population, we have had a wealth of rich experience from both girls and leaders alike.

Most of our girls attend French school whilst the others attend The International School of Toulouse, which again gives a very different flavour to the meetings with girls new to guiding and those who have experienced it before in the UK and abroad.

As individual units and as a District, we are involved in many local charities, Secours Catholique, Pièces Jaunes, TWIG (Toulouse Women’s International Group) and many others outside France, RSPB, Children in Need and Cancer Research to name a few.

We have had previous members go on to complete the Queen’s Guide Award which they began whilst here, visit the Gambia as part of the G.O.L.D. scheme and this year one of our Rangers will visit Japan attending the 23rd World Scout Jamboree.

The emphasis at meetings is giving girls a very safe space to be girls, have fun and learn about themselves, each other and the world through craft, games, singing, sleepovers and camps.
