2nd The Hague Rainbows celebrated various festivals

This term, 2nd The Hague Rainbows worked on their Roundabout Festivals badge.

They discovered how fireworks were invented and made firework pictures using glue; salt and drops of paint.

The Rainbows really enjoyed making edible fireworks from breadsticks chocolate spread and coloured sugar strands. Next they celebrated Australia Day learning about Australia and making some dot paintings.

Over the next few weeks the Rainbows made their own pop up Groundhog for Groundhog Day, Chinese lanterns and Chinese blossom pictures for Chinese New Year and animal Carnival masks.

We also celebrated Thinking Day learning something about our World Centres and tasting some food from each of those countries.

The Rainbows rounded off the term with balloon modelling and 2 girls making their promise and 5 girls having a Pot of Gold ceremony.

A very busy but short term.
